Designer of Scorpida Spearguns

Former serviceman of the KGB border troops and officer of the USSR Ministry of Internal Affairs, underwater hunter, author of two original designs of the Scorpida underwater speargun.The design of the foot-loadedScorpida F gun was presented at the Moscow Dive Show in 2016 and 2017.
In 2020, the designer will present his new ScorpidaHhand-loaded speargun.
How is the "ScorpidaH” different from other spearguns?
1. Compact size / Easy to handleThe optimal size of the speargun, which is 400 mm, was determined experimentally.
2. Unprecedented safety
Both in pneumatic guns and in spearguns, the loading process is the one that is most likely to cause injuries –the hands touch either the energy source(the rubber band) or the harpoon, and in case of snapping, injuries can be sustained. In the "ScorpidaH"speargun(and also in the "ScorpidaF"), the contact of the hands with both the harpoon and the energy sourceis excluded when loading.
3. High power
Due to the original speargun loading process, it is fitted with the thickest possible rubber band, which, when stretched by 300-350%, produces a high power of up to 70 kg, which is not attainable on guns of this size.
4. Adjustable loading force
The crossbow features the option of adjusting the loading force depending on the hunting conditions, it can be drawn smoothly with a force from 0 kg to 70 kg, thanks to the stop bar.
5. Short and thick rubber bands
Who are the Scorpida spearguns for?
In practice, a Scorpida spearguncan be charged by male, female and teenage hunters men, thanks to a stepwise and safe loading system.
