The team of the Oryol diving club "Divo", both independently and together with the scientific research center 1XPEDITION, has been searching for and finding underwater artifacts for 8 years now, expanding our knowledge of the past and preserving the memory of many people and events. The club has discovered the steamship Valamon luostari, which sank in Lake Ladoga near the island of Valaam; relics of the Battle of Sudbishchenskaya at the bottom of the Gogol River in the Oryol region; a fragment of the brigantine "Juno", which sank more than 200 years ago in Kamchatka and a huge number of other underwater finds.
On Friday, February 21 at 16:30, the head of the diving club "Divo" Sergey Kulikov will tell from the stage about how search expeditions are prepared, what is the most valuable thing that has been discovered over the years of work, as well as about the plans of the club "Divo", including underwater exploration of the Arctic zone and the implementation of a large-scale project "Diving for All", thanks to which children in difficult life situations can try themselves in the role of a diver for free under the guidance of the club's instructors. A musician will also perform the song "North Wind", for which a music video was shot based on the film "Black Depths of Ladoga. Expedition of Memory".
Two documentaries about the underwater discoveries of the club will also be shown at the exhibition - "Black Depths of Ladoga" and "Secrets of Sunken Ships". Look for the exact time of the screening in the exhibition poster.
