A biologist discusses what a mermaid might be like if she really lived. Would northern or mid-latitudes suit her? What would she eat, how deep would she dive, why would she have such long hair? What is she – a mammal or a reptile? The lecturer also raises the most serious and interesting question – how could such an unusual species for the animal world appear from the point of view of evolution?
Lecturer: Alexander Kokorin, biologist, head of the hydrobiology laboratory of the Center for Marine Research at Moscow State University.
