On Sunday, February 22nd, at the Moscow Dive Show 2026,
our DivePhoto Team members have prepared a special event for those who love the sea and dream of encountering its large and charismatic inhabitants. They'll be talking about truly impressive creatures from all seas and oceans—like the world's largest octopus, the Doflein's octopus, real sea lions, giant jellyfish, and many more! They'll also share how to photograph extinct animals and... killer whales in the Red Sea.
During their presentation, the DivePhoto Team will show how these encounters work, what goes on behind the scenes, and how to prepare for such shoots—both from a safety and creative standpoint.
How do you frame a shot when you're surrounded by animals weighing a ton (or more)? And how do you maintain respect for nature while remaining a photographer and avoiding becoming "paparazzi with flippers"?
This will be a frank discussion about the practice, experience, risks, and magic of real underwater encounters.
Please note: we do not plan to film the speakers' presentations, so if you are interested in the topic, please come to Moscow Dive Show 2026.
