25 Jan 2024

Dmitry Pisarev assembled his first wooden crossbow for spearfishing 11 years ago. Today, DikyZa teak crossbows are hunted in the Black, Japanese and Mediterranean Seas, the Pacific, Indian and Atlantic Oceans, and this type of weapon is becoming increasingly popular.

On Thursday evening, February 8, together with master Dmitry Pisarev, we will try to figure out:
— Why do you even need wooden crossbows?" What are the advantages of wood as a material for an underwater gun;
— Why teak, why not birch, not pine. What other wood can be used to make an underwater crossbow;
— What are the types of crossbows. What is the difference between different types and what conditions they are intended for;
— Does it make sense to use a wooden crossbow in the Black Sea?
— What is the difference and what are the pros and cons of the classic crossbow, roller and inverter;
- What does a wooden crossbow consist of and whether it is possible to assemble it yourself;
- How to properly maintain such weapons so that they serve for a long time and regularly.

In addition, Dmitry will tell you about the most unusual crossbow that has ever been made to order and what fantasies can be realized by entrusting the production of wooden crossbows to professionals.
