As usual, let's start not with the debutants of the exhibition (about them later), but with those who have been with us for several years, those who, knowing that they should prepare a sled in the summer, are already preparing a new collection of super-wetsuits for freediving in standard sizes for the February exhibition.

"The Moscow Dive Show 2023 has shown that there have been changes in freediving. Despite certain difficulties with the economy, there are significantly more fans of freediving. Especially noticeable is the increase in the number of female freedivers. The "mid-level freediver" category is growing more and more every year, and at the same time the demand for wetsuits is changing.
Beginners initially buy the cheapest Chinese equipment: a one-and-a-half-millimeter monosuit for 5-6 thousand rubles. for the pool. This is justified. At the first stage, the beginner does not yet know whether he will go freediving or not. It is not wise to spend money on an expensive customized suit until you have decided whether you will continue your freediving activities (and what if it doesn't come in!). There are not many good suits on the market by standard standards and not very high prices. Professionals competing in competitions, on the contrary, often choose individual tailoring to get maximum freedom of movement. This is expensive.
Therefore, the idea came up to create a line of high-quality freediver wetsuits in standard sizes and at affordable prices for the freediver who is ready to continue practicing freediving, does not want to deny himself comfort during training, but can not yet afford an expensive custom-made suit.
We decided to start with the most popular thicknesses — 1.5 mm. This is a very popular thickness for swimming pools and warm water. We immediately set a high bar for ourselves. Make at the same level of quality as the most expensive suits, so our new suits have:
- soft elastic neoprene (100% CR-chloroprene). Not China!
- external surface of SCS (smooth leather) in various popular colors —
- inside superelastic fabric that will allow neoprene to reveal its best qualities —
- taped sealed seams and sewn inside with secret stitching;
- the ends of the seams on the sleeves, legs and hood are taped with thermoelastic tape. Such a tape does not allow thin neoprene to break in tense places. But it allows you to trim part of the neoprene for a more comfortable fit, and at the same time not worry that the seam will split.
During the development of the costumes, Andrey Matveenko, a world champion and multiple Russian champion in freediving, asked us to make a customized 1.5 mm wetsuit for the World Championships in Honduras. We sewed a gray Yamamoto neoprene suit according to Andrey's standards.
Andrey liked the costume. After trying it on, he called back and was very satisfied with the quality and the exact fit.
At the same time, we sewed the first batch of one-and-a-half-millimeter suits from the new line "Athletics" in standard sizes. The design is based on our 2USS model. Even the color combination was saved. But the costume felt very different. Unfortunately, due to a technical error of logisticians, the neoprene for these suits was wrinkled and some of the suits still had ugly creases. Nevertheless, we also sent such a suit to Andrey Matveenko for testing and evaluation.
Immediately after receiving this suit, Andrey called me back and said: "Fire!", and said that he wants to take this particular suit to perform at the World Cup in Honduras. And I didn't lose! In this wetsuit, Andrey set a world record by diving to 134 meters of depth. And the creases on the suit didn't hurt! It should be noted that even before the record and Andrey's detailed review of the costume in his Telegram channel https://t.me/c/1640412036/415, more than half of the first batch was sold out mainly by freediving instructors. And so far, no comments have been received from them.
