There are two methods.
The first is to check the barofunction of the ears and nasal cavities in the pressure chamber. This is mandatory for professional selection of divers, as well as for their annual medical examination. The method is as evidence-based and reliable as possible, but it is practically inaccessible to people who do not belong to the diver profession.Whether a person goes underwater out of professional necessity or as an amateur, the water factors act in the same way. The method is easy to use, safe, does not cause discomfort in the subjects, does not require large financial costs for equipment, and provides accurate information that is easy to interpret.
A group of doctors of the RGS CPI used the tympanometry method for dynamic monitoring of participants of the general development program " Oceanavtika "in the children's health center" Orlyonok", who were trained in amateur diving, in order to prevent the development of ear barotrauma.
On Friday, February 9, diving medicine doctor Irina Komarova, diving medicine doctor, Candidate of Medical Sciences Yarkov Andrey Mikhailovich, research diver, Candidate of Technical Sciences Kramorenko Mikhail Vyacheslavovich will talk about timpanometry from the stage of the dive show.
