Every year on the big stage of the Moscow Dive Show, we honor the most — most-divers, freedivers, underwater hunters and photographers, yachtsmen who have done something unusual, outstanding, something that people want and need to tell people about. And this year is so rich in records and achievements that we have already closed all the nominations and we are preparing to introduce you to the people who will take the stage of the exhibition on February 10, 2024, to tell you about their achievements.
And while we are preparing information about new heroes, let me remind you of those we admired in February 2023:
In the "Search and Find" category, a reconnaissance and diving team led by Konstantin Bogdanov took the stage and told an almost detective story of a shipwreck more than 110 years ago, which was opened by the ship's bell discovered by the team.
The "Depth of Field" category was presented by underwater photographer Andrey Nosik with an emotional story of creating one of his shots.
Alexey Molchanov, the exhibition's ambassador and multiple world record holder in freediving, traditionally shared his freediving achievements in the "In one Breath" category.
Young participants of the show — 8-year-old Pavel Izotov and 11-year-old Andrey Kashin-reported on their record-breaking high-altitude dives in the category "Depth of Height".
"Extreme depth of difficulty" this time became the category in which rescue diver Andrey Terekhov was awarded for truly extremely difficult dives.
Inclusive sports in the "Depth without Borders" category was represented by a person with boundless love of life — a dive master, Executive director of the Aqua-Globus dive club Rinat Chernichenko.
Ivan Gurylev, the first underwater hunter to dive, took the stage in the "Trick Path" category... in Chukotka!
The "Ice Heart" nomination introduced the guests of the diving show to Evgeny Polukhin, the organizer of the world-leading ice orienteering competition in Vladivostok.
